ACCOUNTING MANAGER – Corporate Tax

 JOB DESCRIPTION

As a member of our practice, you will be involved in significant tax planning issues and be responsible for managing staffinvolved with the preparation of corporate, not-for-profit and partnership tax returns,you will be the primary reviewer of complicated/complex income tax returns. Identifying and analyzing tax risks and opportunities while advising both strategic and private equity buyers and sellers on alternative tax strategies for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring of businesses.

You will also be responsible for managing accounting and auditing engagements as they present themselves which includes being the lead in an audit and with the assistance of staff, take it from point A to point Z.Identify future client needs and new business opportunities within client organizations.

Provide timely, high quality client service that meets and exceeds client expectations. The Manager also has significant responsibility for the professional development of the Firm's accounting and auditing staff members and will be responsible for participating in the Firm’s peer review and quality control procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. MS in Tax, CPA a plus.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years experience including 4 years of accounting and audit experience.
  • Experience with data collection for projections/preparation of all income tax returns, estimates, & annual reports.
  • A background of servicing multiple industries, such as manufacturing, distribution, and not-for-profit organizations.
  • Familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures including, but not limited to GAAP, deferred taxes and other comprehensive basis of accounting financial statements.
  • Manage multiple engagements and ensure delivery of effective project results.
  • Willingness to market services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Responsible for own administration functions, including client billing.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of general ledger accounting.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in tax software applications, Microsoft Excel, Word, QuickBooks (Peachtree and CCH ProSystems tax software a plus)

TAX SENIOR

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your primary responsibility will include managing the relationship and the review of complex income tax returns including C and S-Corps, partnerships, trusts, and individuals. Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations.

As a member of our tax practice, you will be involved in significant tax planning issues including identifying and analyzing tax risks and opportunities while advising both strategic and private equity buyers and sellers on alternative tax strategies for acquisition, disposition, and restructuring of businesses.  

Your responsibilities will include managing staffinvolved with the preparation of corporate, partnership, trust and individual tax returns.You will assist with the mentoring, managing and training of the staff.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. MS in Tax a plus.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years progressive experience.
  • Familiar with a variety of accounting concepts, practices, and procedures including, but not limited to GAAP, deferred taxes and other comprehensive basis of accounting financial statements.
